Poetry Competition

I

On Thursday 2nd October, it was National Poetry Day.

For those who don't already know, there are events yearly to celebrate this day. This provides the opportunity for poets from all over the UK to share their work. This includes estabished poets, and also up-and-coming ones! This gives the chance for poetry to have the spotlight!

This year, the theme is "Remember". Mr Russell and Mr Bennett have incorporated this into our lessons by starting of us. Students have the chance to write a conflict-inspired poem, and getting the poems to one of our English teachers is the perfect way to get them shared with the people who organise this event! I am 100% sure that everyone would love to be apart of the War of Words competitions.
