Bury St. Edmunds obviously not slacking off during Christmas as they stormed through Amersham & Chiltern with a comprehensive 32 – 5 victory. Bury leaving there loss at Hertford behind them as they ran in 5 tries vs A&C. The heavy rain at lunch finally passed at three but the damage was done in terms of making it a very slippery ball. Having to defend for the first part of the game, Bury landed the first punch on eight minutes when Rush made a great kick and chase to win his side a vital penalty. Mike Sage happily kicked over the points to give Bury the upper hand.  Both sides were looking extremely dangerous but lacking that final killer instinct, things could have turned out differently if Keith had put over a two kicks. As the game came to the 20 minute mark Bury were gradually taking control. A&C were disrupting the breakdown a couple times too many, the yellow card was finally given too Williams. Bury made the extra man count when Sage ran in a try in the corner 8-0, 8 minutes later bury scored another try to make it 13-0 again the conversion was missed.
